Fits and Starts

I know this blog has hardly lived up to the title “web log”. It’s been more of a “web occasional content”. Maybe we’ll get better at updating; maybe we won’t. Stay tuned.

In actual news, Lauren is wrapping up the final few hours of studying for the bar exam. She has been so diligent! In fact, she hasn’t left the house in over a week because she’s been studying so hard! I couldn’t be more proud of how dedicated and consistent she has been. She is going to obliterate that sucka!

Finally!

This week marks a momentous time in the life of the only remaining law student in our little family. Lauren’s last round of finals (EVER) starts tomorrow! She’s been studying like a total nerd the past few days to get all pumped up to stick it to the man. I’m really excited that this is the beginning of the end, as it were. We’ve been respecting each others’ work space and confusing the Hankster by not being in the same room. Kinda funny, kinda sad.

Not Dead, Just Busy

I know it’s been a long time since the last post. Sorry, but things have been quite busy around the Lindsey home. Last weekend, Lauren and I went to a wedding in Little Rock. It was a great drive over, and the wedding of our friends Tony and Becca was very nice. The church where they got hitched had an underwater adventure area for kids. Wow.

We’re Baaa-aaack!

We’ve emerged from a fun week full of … ok, so it was good for me, but better for L since she was off school for an entire week. I did manage to take a break on Thursday and Friday. We made good use of the time off and went to the Natural State for a night in the woods amongst the creepy crawlies. Henry loved it!

SPRING BREAK!!!

Lauren and I are excited to take a break from our non-essential activities next week and enjoy some time at home! We’re looking forward to relaxing in the evenings and (hopefully) soaking in some great weather on the balcony.

What’s Up with Blogging?

This is a good question, especially when put to a couple who only have regular life and a dog to talk about. Honestly, this could get quite boring. Unlike some other people we know, we don’t have pictures of a cute baby doing cute baby things. I hope we get things rolling and hit the lotto or learn some magic tricks or become haphazardly famous. Otherwise, we might have to start making things up!

Long Commutes Make for Long Weeks

Lauren and I are used to making do with the reality that the OU law school is in Norman. Last semester, we got pretty good at being in bed early Sunday night so she could get up and out by 5:00-ish and actually remember the two-hour drive over. I could make due with a bachelor’s dinner one night a week, and we didn’t have the pooch. This semester is a little different.

A Saturday with Blue Skies + Sunshine = Dog Park

On Saturday, Lauren and I took Henry to the dog park to play with Eric and Meredith’s pup, Bear.  It was a blast for the little yellow dogs.  Bear is a beautiful yellow lab about Henry’s age, so they have lots of fun playing and rolling around in the dirt together.

And Away We Go…

This is the first time Lauren and I will undertake a blogging endeavor together.  The only thing that comes close is our wedding website, which was formerly found at the same url.  We’ve since decided to “roll” our own blog and have purchased a CD of the wedding site as a keepsake.  It was really fun to design and create the wedding site.
